As our European project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Electrical Project Managers to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major international projects.

The Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical projects, from pre-construction and mobilisation through to installation, commissioning and handover.
You will lead the project team and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, commercial teams, subcontractors and site personnel, you will provide strong leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Manage the project on a day-to-day basis, ensuring key milestones and programme objectives are achieved.
Take responsibility for the financial and commercial performance of the project.
Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts and overall project P&L.
Lead and manage the project team, including Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen and site personnel.
Coordinate labour, resources, materials and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Liaise with key project stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure effective communication throughout the project.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed programmes, specifications and contractual requirements.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance are maintained.
Work closely with the Commercial and Estimating teams to manage variations, change control and commercial opportunities.
Review project documentation, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
Identify project risks and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Lead regular project meetings and provide clear progress updates to senior management and clients.
Ensure project documentation and reporting requirements are maintained throughout the project.
Support the successful testing, commissioning and final handover of projects.
Develop and mentor project team members, supporting their professional growth and progression.
Contribute to the continued development of DECO's project delivery processes and standards.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
5+ years' experience in electrical project management, preferably within electrical contracting, MEP or data centre projects.
A relevant 3rd-level Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
An electrical trade background would be advantageous.
Proven experience successfully delivering large-scale electrical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Previous data centre, industrial or commercial project experience is highly advantageous.
Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience managing project budgets, costs and P&L.
Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong knowledge of electrical installation, construction and commissioning processes.
Excellent understanding of project programmes, planning and resource management.
Strong leadership, delegation and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and mentor project teams.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
Strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software.
Previous experience working on international or European projects would be advantageous.
A proactive, commercially focused and solutions-driven approach.
Essential Requirements
EU Passport – essential.
Proven experience managing electrical projects.
Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong commercial and project management experience.
Willingness and ability to work on a rotational basis across European projects.
Willingness to travel and work away from home as required by the project.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.
