HR Co Ordinator

DECO Engineering is continuing to grow across Europe, delivering electrical, mechanical and off-site manufacturing solutions on major international projects.
As our European operations expand, we are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team and support the management of our growing international workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional with strong experience in European employment legislation, cross-border workforce management and HR compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our employees are supported throughout their employment journey, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance across the countries in which we operate.
Working closely with senior management and project teams, you will help develop and implement effective HR strategies, policies and procedures that support DECO’s continued growth and long-term success across Europe.

European Employment & Compliance Experience
Proven experience in HR management, ideally within a company operating across multiple European countries.
Strong knowledge of European employment legislation and the ability to ensure compliance across different jurisdictions.
Experience managing a European workforce, including employees working on international projects and rotational assignments.
Understanding of the legal and administrative requirements for employing workers across Europe, including immigration, work permits and right-to-work checks.
Experience with cross-border employment compliance, including A1 certificates, social security obligations and applicable employment regulations.
Knowledge of country-specific employment legislation, payroll requirements and statutory obligations.
Ability to monitor legislative changes across European countries and ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant.
Experience liaising with external HR consultants, payroll providers, legal advisers and relevant authorities across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the project and management team.
Maintain accurate project documentation, records and filing systems.
Prepare, update and distribute reports, spreadsheets and project documentation.
Assist with the onboarding and administration of project personnel.
Maintain employee and contractor records, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.
Support timesheet, attendance and holiday administration.
Assist with travel, accommodation and transport arrangements where required.
Coordinate meetings, appointments and project-related activities.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications.
Liaise with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
Ensure documentation is stored and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Provide general office and project administration support as required.
Workforce Management
Experience managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding.
Ability to coordinate HR requirements for employees working on international construction and engineering projects.
Experience managing rotational working arrangements, international travel, accommodation and employee welfare.
Strong understanding of employee relations, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling and performance management.
Experience supporting the mobilisation of workers to new projects and ensuring all required documentation is in place before deployment.
HR Systems & Policies
Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures suitable for a growing international organisation.
Experience maintaining accurate employee records, compliance documentation and HR systems.
Strong understanding of GDPR and the importance of protecting employee data.
Experience working alongside senior management to develop HR strategies that support business growth.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
